About

My name is Brandon McLeod-Miller (formerly Brandon McLeod-Parram, hence BrandiniMP) and im from London, England.

I was born on August 29th 1992 and began programming HTML when i was 11, shortly after learning HTML i gained an interest in 2D RPG’s and started playing with RPG Maker XP, shortly after i discovered a 2D RPG engine called Eclipse which was owned by a guy called Marsh, me being eager to learn drove me to ask to join the development team, even though i had no platform based programming knowledge, on that note, i was told by Marsh that i was a script kiddie and a noob, and no i could not join the development team.

Fortunately for me I’m rather competitive, from there I went on a quest to create a better 2D RPG engine to Eclipse, thus began my Google searching, after a short period of time i discovered Mirage Source, which i took a brief glance at, but it looked old and obsolete (looked, but wasn’t) so my search continued until i found Elysium Source, why Eclipse was actually based on, Elysium was open source and written in Visual Basic 6, so i downloaded the source, figured out that i needed Visual Basic 6 to edit it, looked at the code, and what do you know, i didn’t understand it at all, so i went on Googleing and source code downloading spree (thank you pscode.com) i played around with various source codes and mixed and matched a bit.

A few days past and i had eventually grasped the basic concept of Visual Basic 6 and from there i began working on a game with Elysium Source, and at the time i was in a small band called Black Rose, so ofcouse i named the game Black Rose Online (B.R.O), i hosted a server and actually had a fair amount of players, unfortunately at the time there was a mystery Runtime Error 9 occurrence in the server of B.R.O which caused periodical crashes, so in the end i gave up on B.R.O and started expanding upon my Visual Basic 6 knowledge.

Time passed and i began to become a more integral part of the Elysium Source forum community and was writing tutorials and helping users to the best of my ability, i dare say that i was one of the more experienced Visual Basic 6 coders on the site.

Anyway, i most commonly worked with the version of Elysium called Konfuze (aka D-bugged) it was older and had less features to the version known as Elysium Diamond which was released during my stay at Elysium, however i preferred it, as i was able to enhance it to an acceptable level of performance, after a while Elysium and its community began to die, so i decided its time to take action so i began writing a new engine (based on Konfuze) called Elysium Proto, and i got really far working on it, however it never made it to a public release as the more senior developers of Elysium were making a new engine of their own also, however despite the lack of a public release various parts of Proto are still used even today in peoples RPG engine and alot of my idea’s are still used also, so its not a total loss.

Anyway, jumping forward a bit, to when i was 15, as you can imagine after 4 years i have a fair amount of Visual Basic experience, however a friend (emostar) called upon me to help them with a PHP script they have ‘aquired’ for a 9×9 forced matrix script, at this point i didnt know PHP at all, but i thought, hell ill take a look, and thus began my learning of PHP, i messed with PHP alot for this script and eventually, as with VB6, i gained a firm grasp upon the language and continued to learn and write scripts, and enhance my HTML, CSS and Javascript knowledge at the same time, and that pretty much sums up my PHP phase, moving onwards.

Around mid-December 2007 I was running a warez forum called Compucated.net a domain which i still own and am trying to think of a new use for, but anyway, the sudden urge came across me to start playing the game Halo, so me being my relatively lazy self posted a request for a download on Compucated and shortly after, was downloading Halo Custom Edition (thank you Rapidshare), as you can see i like skipping sections of my history, so here we go again, after a while of play HaloCE in the KoV (Kings of Victory) server i was invited by a player called {NP}Noble to join a clan called Noble-Power, i told him i would think about it, later i joined the passworded clan server (easy to guess password :) ) and had a match with them and then joined the clan, now, already having resources such as Webhosting which was provided by my old friend Da Undead (from Elysium) for free, i started hosting a Noble-Power clan site and eventually i made my way up the ranks to Co-Leader, at this point i was trying to write a program in VB6 to work as an ingame clan chat system with a DirectX overlay, which just so happens to be impossible from a VB6 application, but i didnt know that then, so i then set out to find a person named BitterBanana to help me write this DirectX overlay, as he had written alot of Halo mods and hacks, during my search i came across a memory editing tutorial by Patrickssj6, who was actually taught by BitterBanana, and i tracked Patrick down on msn added started talking to him, he helped me understand memory editing and Reverse Engineering, shortly after Patrick and i started Vivid-Abstractions (Patrick had already started it, but i helped get it off the ground) and i provided a proper forum and file hosting.

Eventually my cracking and reversing knowledge grew to a point where VB6 was no longer a powerful enough programming language so i started learning C# and then a few months after i began learning C++ so i could write a DLL to inject into the Halo Dedicated server to add functionality.

And that pretty much brings you up to speed on me, obviously im not writing my Biography, otherwise this would be alot longer :) anyways thats a bit about me, i hope you enjoyed reading.
